The Bills will look to continue to prove it’s a Wild Card contender this year when they set their sights on the Dolphins and head to Miami looking to pick up its second road win of the season. Last weeks win at home over Cincinnati marks the Bills third win in a row and fourth in their last five games overall. It would have been five in a row if they didn’t lose grasp of their game with Dallas in the closing minutes. That being said, HC Dick Jauron has this team playing some exceptional ball. They haven’t gone up against the toughest of competition, but they still came out on top in all three contests. QB JP Losman came back last week to lead his club to the win against the Bengals, and the Bills defense has really clamped down overall allowing a measly 13 PPG their L/3.
Adding to the Bills weak current schedule will be the winless Dolphins who thankfully had a “Bye” last week to recover from their trip to the UK. They put forth a solid effort against the Giants in London, but I’ll just chalk that up to both teams suffering from jet lag and playing in unfamiliar surroundings. Not much has gone well for HC Cam Cameron in his first season as the Dolphins Head Coach. QB Trent Green has already been knocked out for the season as has RB Ronnie Brown. They traded their best WR to San Diego, and the heart and soul of the defense, LB Zach Thomas, has battled injuries all season long and missed a couple of games. The play of their defense has also been a shocking surprise. This unit returned a bulk of last year’s starters that only surrendered 17 PPG, but this season has seen their play drastically decline and their PPG average has ballooned because of it (31 PPG).
The Bills are currently 2.5 road favorites in this spot with the ‘Total’ set at 41. The Bills are in the midst of a five game ATS winning streak, while the Dolphins are yet to cover a game at home this season. The Bills have covered six straight against the Fins, and this same team went into Miami last year as 6.5-point road pups and won SU by a 16-6 final count.
Will the Bills continue its winning ways, or will the Dolphins finally get off the schneid? Fire up your DirecTV box and find out at 1:00 ET Sunday afternoon… SLAM YOUR MAN!!!
