Boise State vs. Fresno StateWebsite Gambling Article by - Mike Rose from Who2beton.com - Oct 26, 2007 Brought to you by Who2beton.com The WAC takes center stage Friday evening when the (6-1) Boise State Broncos invade the Silicon Valley to take on HC Pat Hill’s (5-2) Fresno State Bulldogs. Both clubs come into this game riding high after picking up wins last week. The Broncos got the better of Louisiana Tech in Ruston by a 45-31 final count, while the Bulldogs toyed with HC Dick Tomey’s San Jose State Spartans shutting them out 30-0. Each club comes into this battle undefeated in WAC play. The Broncos rolled up New Mexico State 58-0 at home, but then escaped in OT a week later against Nevada (69-67). Last weeks win over La Tech finds them in the midst of a five-game win streak. Fresno has really gained confidence since the start of conference play. They started off their WAC campaign by barely getting past Louisiana Tech at home (17-6), and then won a barnburner just like Boise did against Nevada (49-41). They picked up a solid road win over Idaho, 37-24, and then dominated SJ State last week as mentioned earlier. They come into tonight’s game with a four game winning streak under their belts. In terms of the all-time series, Boise holds a 5-4 advantage most recently handing Fresno a 45-21 shellacking on the “Smurf Turf” last season. Fresno State head coach Pat Hill has had little success against the Broncos in his career posting a 1-5 SU mark. Spread players should note: The Broncos are a solid 7-1 ATS their L/8 Friday night games, but are a poor 1-6 ATS the L/7 times they’ve been installed as a road favorite. Fresno’s 9-4 ATS the L/14 times they’ve been deemed a home underdog, but 1-4 ATS their L/5 Friday night games. Boise State has been installed the favorite in this contest, but you can bet your bottom dollar that HC Hill and his Bulldogs won’t take too kindly to that notion. This is the only football slated to go Friday night, so tune your HD sets to ESPN2 at 9:00 ET to see which of these WAC stalwarts grabs the upper hand…. SLAM YOUR MAN!!!
