Tennessee Titans vs. New Orleans Saints

Does it get better than this people?? Monday night, the Titans, the Saints, and Tony Kornheiser to boot? Well, I can do without Korny, but this is going to be one heck of a match-up. VY under the Monday Night lights for the first time in his career!!! Does it get much better than that? The kid has performed and stepped up in every one of his big games in his career, and I expect nothing less this evening. How about the rematch of Mr. Bush and Mr. Young? You know VY still believes he should have brought home the Heisman hardware, and he’ll most definitely put his best foot forward here tonight.

If you asked the average NFL fan what they thought the New Orleans Saints record would be heading into their Week 3 MNF match-up with the Tennessee Titans, they’d probably say 1-1. Figuring a loss at Indianapolis to open up the season, but bouncing back nicely in Week 2 at division rival Tampa. That however is not the case as the Saints did lose to Peyton and the Colts in an embarrassing fashion Week 1, but they came back and laid an absolute egg as 5-point road chalks to Tampa last week. I’m not sure what team took the field last week, but it certainly wasn’t the one that saw their season end in the NFC Championship game to Chicago last year.

The Titans own a 6-4-1 lead in their all-time series with the Saints, including a 27-12 home victory when the teams last met back in 2003. Tennessee also won in its last visit to New Orleans, a 24-21 triumph in 1999, and Titz HC Jeff Fisher owns a perfect 3-0 mark against the team from the Crescent City. This will be the first time NO HC Sean Payton will have led his troops against the Tennessee franchise.

Tennessee is 13-3 ATS their L/16 games, while the Saints have been on an ATS slide going 1-6 their L/7. Something has to give here tonight, so tune to ESPN at 8:30 ET and listen in as Tirico, Jaworski, and Kornheiser take as for the ride.

SLAM YOUR MAN!!!
