Florida International Golden Panthers vs. Kansas Jayhawk

Website Gambling Article by - Mike Rose from Who2beton.com - Sep 22, 2007

The undefeated Kansas Jayhawks will take to the field this evening looking to improve upon its perfect 3-0 mark. Everything has been quite rosey for the crimson and blue this season, as they’ve simply torn apart each of their first three opponents.

First up were the defending 2006 MAC Champions, but they were no match for the “Mighty Manginos” as they knocked them off by a 52-7 final count. Then came SE Louisiana who the Jayhawks blanked by a 62-0 final margin. Then last week saw the Jayhawks get tabbed with a 28-point spread, yet they still managed to cover the number against Toledo as they upended the Rockets by a 45-13 final count. Now comes the mighty FIU Golden Panthers looking to knock KU off and hand them their first loss of the season.

This will be the first-ever meeting between FIU and Kansas on the gridiron, and it doesn’t look like one the Golden Panthers will want to store away in their memory banks. Kansas’ new look offense has simply been rolling right out of the gates. New QB Todd Reesing has been fantastic, and he’s been complimented well by RB’s Jake Sharp and Brandon McAnderson. Sharp has rushed for 265 yards and two touchdowns, while McAnderson has posted 222 yards and four scores. Coming into this week, KU is ranked amongst the nations elite in terms of offensive production, and FIU’s defense will have a very hard time shutting them down.

Against Penn State, Maryland, and Miami, the Golden Panthers have surrendered 36 PPG, and they haven’t been good against the rush (192 YPG) or pass (224 YPG). It’s needless to say, but it’s going to be a very long day for this unit as Kansas is firing on all cylinders right now.

Tune to local coverage or the ESPN College Football package to witness the massacre that’s about to take place.

SLAM YOUR MAN!!!
