PartyPoker Monster Tournament

About the PartyPoker Monster Tournament
Over the next 11 months, more people will win more money than ever before with over 40,000 cash winners. PartyPoker will be hosting a series of televised poker tournaments in various cities around the world leading up to the Party Poker Monster Grand Final that takes place in South America in June, 2007.

The Monster Poker Grand Final Offline Tournament will feature the six poker player finalists and will take place on May 26, 2007.

To qualify for the Poker Grand Final, you'll need to be among the top 1,000 players from the $1,000,000 Monster Monthly Freerolls.

The poker rounds leading up to the tournament are below:

Party Poker players can qualify for the poker monster tournament by:

Playing in the Monster Jackpot cash games.

Playing in Monster sit and go type tournaments.

Playing in the poker monster scheduled tournaments.

Being one of the top PartyPoints earners.

Any member can qualify to play in all the 32 Weekly $100,000 Freerolls

Round 1
There will be 32 $100,000 Monster Weekly Freerolls. The top 2,000 players from each tournament will advance to the $1 Million Monster Monthly Freeroll.
The $100,000 Monster Weekly Freerolls will take place every Saturday for 32 weeks starting on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 16:00 ET.

Round 2
There will be eight $1 Million Monster Monthly Freerolls. The top 1,000 players from each tournament will advance to the Poker Monster Grand Final.
The $1 Million Monster Monthly Freerolls are scheduled for the last Sunday of each month starting on Sunday, September 24, 2006 at 12:30 ET.

The top nine finishers in each $1 Million Monster Monthly Freeroll will also qualify for the monthly offline TV events that will take place three weeks after each $1 Million Monster Monthly Freeroll. The first scheduled offline monthly TV events will take place on Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15, 2006.

Round 3
The online portion of the Monster Grand Final will be held on May 26, 2007.
The top 1,000 players from each $1 Million Monster Monthly Freerolls will compete in the Monster Grand final that will play down to the top six Monster players, who will go on to play in the offline grand final portion of the tournament in June.

Final Round
The PartyPoker Monster Grand Final Tournament will take place on June 16, 2007, and the final six online players from the Monster Grand Final will complete the tournament in South America. The offline portion of the Grand Final will also be televised.
